Well hello! First and foremost, I want to let you know that Lady Len & the Mysterious Mac is on sale for $2.99 as part of Marriage of Convenience March! So if you love the marriage of convenience trope, head on over to BookFunnel to check out the other titles and snag Lady Len because It was a marriage of convenience for everyone except the bride and groom.
I'm going to be honest—February was rough, as February tends to be. On the 2nd, my delightful pup Isla tried to make a break for it out the front door, and I tripped trying to grab her and sprained my ankle, so I've been in a boot the whole entire month, not getting much sleep or much exercise. I will say, I was kind of laughing (through my tears) because it reminded me of something that happened when I was a kid: My dad was out of town, my mom was at the pediatrician with me getting 2 liters of fluids put in my arm, and my sister, who had just returned from a ski trip 100% intact, called my mom to tell her the cat had made her fall down the stairs and—you guessed it—she sprained her ankle. My day was sort of like that.
So that's my excuse for not sending a newsletter in February.
The rest of the month was pretty much spent head-down revising to try and bring you two new books this year, planning releases and events, and feeling sorry for myself.
February's art-spiration was a gift from a dear friend of mine.

In Lady Len & the Mysterious Mac, Len moves away from her family for the first time, as she marries Silas and starts her new life in a different part of Scotland. But when she's feeling far away from her sister and cousin, she contemplates that at least they can all look up at the same stars.
Ever since my talented friend gave me this beautiful little painting, it has reminded me of those scenes in Lady Len, and so it became the art that represents my 3rd book.
With a cameo by the adorable concrete astronaut I got at a cute little market in Canmore, Alberta, near Banff, with the very same friend who painted the canvas!
If you're in the Middle Tennessee area, we'll be hosting an Indie Bookstore Crawl next month for Indie Bookstore Day on April 25. I'll be signing with friends at The Raven in Brentwood! Stay tuned for more information in my April newsletter or follow the event on Facebook!
We made it through February, friends. I hope there's no more snow.
All the best,
