Watch out for pollen bombs...

Have you ever heard of a pollen bomb? Because that's a thing that happened in Tennessee. Good thing the doctors all tell me I'm "allergic to nothing, but sensitive to everything." 🫠

📚 Current Read: Star Shipped by Cat Sebastian.

🍿 Current Watch: just finished The Forsytes on PBS. Loved it!

☕️ Current Drink: just spilled Ginger Turmeric tea everywhere, does that count?

Good morning—or whatever time it is where you are reading this! Don't worry, I have now wiped up the tea, and we're ready to proceed.

I'm thrilled to share, I'm out of the boot! I wouldn't say my ankle is 100% better, but definitely on the mend thank goodness, because life is about to get busy (lol as if March wasn't).

For all my Tennessee-adjacent readers, get ready for the Middle TN Indie Bookstore Crawl! This Independent Bookstore Day, April 25, we have 22 participating area bookstores joining forces. This is going to be a really special event. Stores will have in-house author signings, story-times, giveaways, and special vendors. You can get a passport at the store of your choice and travel around to as many other stores as you can manage! At the end of the day, turn in your stamped passport to be entered in the grand prize drawing, which will include swag and gift cards from the stores! Follow the Facebook group, or check out the participating stores divided up by county and find an interactive map here.

I will be signing that day along with 3 of my author besties at the brand new Raven Book Lounge in Brentwood. Besides me, you can find small-town romance author Angi Black, YA paranormal author Jennifer Dean, and award-winning family saga author Mark Gibson. We're going to have so much fun, and you definitely need to check out this incredible Poe-inspired bookstore/cocktail bar!

LAST CHANCE: to join my ARC list before ARCs of A FAIRE AFFAIR (Book 2 in the Tennessee Hebrides series) go out! I won't be posting this one to Netgalley. The first 15 readers to post reviews can receive a signed paperback (I'm so sorry, but US addresses only this time). You don't have to have read Grace on the Rocks to enjoy A FAIRE AFFAIR, but if you did, book 2 follows Grace's best friend Wesley Teal as she tries to help her grandmother throw the Renaissance Faire of her dreams and avoid an entanglement with Bryan's cousin Eòghann who is definitely not a priest.

Delft tile pained with 3 masted ship.

This month's art represents Maggie & the Pirate's Son. I had the amazing opportunity to visit the Netherlands while I was writing Maggie, and in addition to dragging my husband to National Maritime Museum to see whatever ship and sailing ephemera I could find, I also dragged him off to Delft.

Little known fact about me, I'm obsessed with Vermeer (and will one day write a book inspired by this trip), which is why we were in the Netherlands to begin with. But when in Delft, you go look at the tiles, and when you look at Delft tiles, you combine all of your interests and buy a tile with a 3 masted ship on it to represent the pirate ship in your pirate story and anyway here it is. Isn't she pretty?

Lots more exciting things to come, so stay tuned!!
